FAQ

1. Why do you cycle?

Well, the answer is obvious. It is a cheap way of getting around in London. You can save your money and burn the fat in the process.

2. What is your bike?

A Carrera TDF road bike. You can read more about it in here and here. Sometimes I ride a folding bike when I feel I have to catch a train on parts of my journey.

3. Don't you think it is scary cycling on London roads?

Yes. But after a week or two your confidence will increase and navigating roundabouts and traffics will be a second nature.

4. How to stay motivated?

Think that it is expensive to use train, bus, or tube. They are overcrowded as well. But it is cold especially in winter months, you might say. Well, wrap up yourself and you will be fine. One more thing, seeing somebody else cycling keeps my spirit high, believe it or not.

5. Shall I buy a folding bike or a road bike?

No straight answers, I am afraid. If you cycle more than half an hour each way and you do not need to catch a bus or train, a road bike would be a clear choice. If you combine your journey with public transports then a folding bike could be your next bike. I must warn you a good folding bike could set you back at least £750. The much cheaper ones are rubbish, they say. And I absolutely agree with them.

6. Will you review my products?

Definitely. But I have to tell you that I am not an expert in cycling. I am jut ordinary guy who find a passion for pedalling. So, when I am writing about a bike, I won't tell you about the full details of a rear mech for example or about a ratio of a gear. What I can say is my impression and ride quality of a bike from the point of view of an ordinary cyclist. If you are OK with this, drop me a message here.
